We suggest that only 3 to 4 people work on the snow sculpture at one time. You may have several primary sculptors who work with the other helpers - clearing snow etc., but this is totally up to each team. You must provide your own shovels, sidewalk scrapers and other carving tools. Carving times are from Friday 9:0 0am till 9:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Judging for the “Artist’s Choice” will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday and plaque awarded at 2:00 pm at the Dow People Place. You may continue to work on your sculpture after the “Artist’s Award” is handed out. There must be at least one, (preferably 2) persons at your sculpture until closing (at 5:00 pm, you must hand the Donation Box over to our Gate Admission Personnel for lock up until Sunday Morning).

Each day, each team will be required to sign in to retrieve their Donation Box. Name(s) and signatures must be supplied when initially receiving the donation box on Friday. At 2:00 pm Sunday, the Donation Boxes will be added up individually and the winning team (team with the highest donation amount) presented with their award at approximately 2:30 pm at the Dow People Place. Sarnia Snowfest will keep each team’s donations for safekeeping. A cheque less 10% of your team’s donations will be issued to each charity. A cheque for the 10% commission will be handed over to the Optimists for their Cerebral Palsy Conductive Education Program.

Sarnia Snowfest is a registered non-profit organization, dedicated to bringing our Community this International Snow-Sculpting Event with the intent of raising money and awareness for charities.
